convention
well folks, thats me and brian home from our trip.
the AA world convention in San Antonio was out of this world.
we are already saving for Atlanta in 2015.
it is an experience that i would not change for the world.i heard there was approx 70 thousand there.the whole town was over-run with us….everyone was pleased to see each other and i met some great folk and had some of my best chats with folk in the line at starbucks
went to the alamodome on the opening evening for the flag ceremony and again on the sunday morning for the closing ceremony.
there was a chap called Lord Ewing speaking at the opening,a non alcoholic friend of AA.it was brilliant…..over 90 countries were represented with flags.
brian and i liked the marathon meetings the best with about 600…they started on the thurs night at 12 and went through to 6am sunday morning.
i can honestly say that i didnt want the experiene to end,,,it was very spiritual and God was defo in the house.
am honoured to have been a part of it.
